The Emerson Pant by True Bias is the perfect introduction to sewing pants. Not only is it a fun sewing project, the pants are also versatile and easy to wear. Dress them up for a night out or dress them down for a casual outing; either way, you’ll look polished and feel comfortable all day.

This pull-on crop pant has a partially elasticized waistband, handy pockets, and gorgeous pleat detailing. Choose between a mid or high rise. With an instructor to guide you and great instructions, you’re sure to leave with a pair of pants that you love!

Time: 6 hours, 2 sessions

Skill level: Intermediate

Prerequisites: 101 Sewing Machine Tote Bag or Throw Pillow, plus 2-3 level 100 or 200 classes, or equivalent experience

Skills Learned:

  • Using a commercial pattern
  • Finding the correct pattern size based on measurements
  • Sewing pleats and pockets
  • Sewing a partially elasticized waistband
  • Working with interfacing
  • Hemming
