Assistant Manager

Spool of Thread is looking for an Assistant Manager for our retail store in Mount Pleasant.

Job duties may include:
- Educating employees on company policies and practices
- Assisting Management in providing constructive feedback and assisting in regular evaluations of staff
- Identifying team member's strengths and working with Management to provide opportunities for growth
- Training new staff
- Delegate responsibilities and tasks 
- Excited to learn about new products and passing on knowledge to retail team members and customers
- Knowledgeable about store policies and able to resolve customer and employee issues 

Who you are:
- Have consistent availability on both Saturday and Sunday, and holidays and flexibility for occasional evening shifts throughout the week
- Able to effectively communicate with store team, senior management and customers
- Strong computer skills
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Passionate about extraordinary customer service and imparting product knowledge

Spool of Thread is a sewing lounge located in Mount Pleasant. We carry a curated collection of modern fabrics and independent sewing patterns, as well as teach sewing classes and rent sewing machines by the hour. We have been open 11 years.
