Hi, Sewing Friend!
If you're looking for an easy-to-fit and wearable new shirt, I have a sewing pattern to tell you about!
I just finished sewing this long-sleeved wrap shirt and I couldn't wait to show you it! I am so thrilled with the results, and this straightforward pattern has me already planning to make another (Sea Blue or Juniper next?).
I paired the United Kingdom-designed Tilly and the Buttons Pearl Cardigan with our Laurel Eco Viscose Knit in the shade Iris. I sewed straight from the pattern without any modifications and I am very pleased with the cute results! I really appreciate the pattern design and details; the Tilly and the Buttons instructions are well written, easy to follow and without any hard-to-understand fussy steps.
With it's lovely, wearable texture, Laurel is the perfect daily shirt fabric for a project like this.
The Laurel Eco Viscose Knit is made from 95% viscose that was eco-responsibly produced from a renewable wood source. And, not only is it environmental, the wood viscose textile has a really great hand and pretty drape. I picked the balloon-sleeve version of the Pearl Cardigan, and the Lauren Knit made lovely gathers at the cuffs.
To make your own super-adorable cardigan like mine, check out the Tilly and the Buttons Pearl Cardigan and pair it with your favourite shade of our Laurel Eco Viscose Knit. I can't wait to see your version!
I'm off to start working on my next one,
- Lili
