Hints of fall are starting to appear on the trees! So we're taking this opportunity to feature some of our favourite fabrics with a fall-inspired colour palette.
Crisp, Heavy-weight Linen
First up is our Jericho Linen, a collection that we have definitely fallen for! Jericho is heavier than the other linens we carry, weighing in at 195 gsm, making it a great option for cooler days ahead.
This collection also has a smooth hand, which gives it a gorgeous crisp look for fall dresses, pants, and jackets. The vibrant colours are much brighter than many other linens, and we are in love with these Paprika, Blueberry, and Emerald hues for the fall.
Swishy Linen Viscose
Another favourite in our linen family, which has also always blows us away, is our Avery collection. Made from a blend of linen and viscose; Avery is a super swishy lightweight fabric with a luxurious feel.
This collection is perfect for simple fall garments that show off its magnificent drape, and has become our go-to fabric for a relaxing weekend sewing project. The dreamy hues in this collection (including Fern, Lagoon, and Tea Rose pictured below) would make for some beautiful skirts, tops, and dresses to wear as fall layering pieces. Cozy French Terry
If you're ready to start on some ultra-cozy makes, our Bowen French Terry might be calling out to you! This collection is made from a unique blend of Bamboo Rayon (67%), Cotton (28%), and Spandex (5%). Bamboo is a very soft fabric, and the tiny bit of Spandex allows the fabric to stretch as you need.
We think the tones of Charcoal, Basil, and Almond pictured below would make for some extra cute pants or sweatshirts for staying cozy at home or running errands. With it's lovely finish the Bowen collection really does provide the best of both worlds with comfort and style!
