Sewing a zipper has struck fear in the heart of many a sewist. But fear no more, with our Zippered Pouch class! In this class you’ll make 2 pouches and by the end of the course, you will master regular zipper installation. You will also learn to sew the zipper into the pouch with a lining fabric and layers of interfacing.

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner

Age: Adult

Time: 3 hours, 1 session

Prerequisites: 101 Sewing Machine Tote Bag or Throw Pillow, plus another level 100 or 200 class, or equivalent experience

Skills Learned:

  • sewing a zipper
  • how to use interfacing
  • sewing a gusset

Note: You will make two pouches in the class, one with a gusset and one without.
